TRANSFORMING AN ART DECO MASTERPIECE

The First National Center is one of downtown Oklahoma City’s architectural treasures. ADG Blatt worked with new owners, Cornerstone Development and NE Development, to restore “The National” to its historic grandeur with hotel, apartments, retail and structured parking. Located at the heart of Oklahoma City’s rapidly revitalizing downtown, the First National Center is the hub of activity and a premiere address.

The National Hotel on floors one through eight is one of the most elegant hotels in the region. The 149-room boutique hotel is part of the five-star Marriott Autograph brand and is managed by one of Oklahoma’s premiere hoteliers, Coury Hospitality, a market leader in hotel luxury and service. The development of The National includes the finest food and beverage outlets, including The Vault and Library of Distilled Spirits, formerly the basement home for Oklahoma’s richest fortunes. The Great Hall features public space for residents and visitors to enjoy. Just off the Great Hall, interior spaces feature a café and a bar.

Residential units are on floors nine through thirty-one. The residential tower contains 195 units and is the benchmark in luxury high-rise living from ground to crown. Its 32nd-floor resident lounge offers spectacular views and impeccable service. Phase one of the project was the transformation of two additions from 1957 and 1972 additions into a 700-space parking garage. This 630,000-square-foot portion includes 15,700 square feet of retail. Retail offerings will include a public marketplace, shops and a business incubator.
