ADG was hired to design an apartment community on a site in Midtown Oklahoma City that had formerly been home to the city’s oldest hospital. The concept includes 200+ units wrapping an interior landscaped courtyard and concealing a structured parking garage. Restaurants and retail along the eastern edge would be an asset to the established historic Heritage Hills neighborhood across the street.
The sloped site makes it possible to easily access underground parking and create a landscaped central plaza. All buildings have minimal setbacks to create an urban neighborhood atmosphere and encourage pedestrian activity.
The design for Overholser Green offers apartments, community spaces and retail areas on five floors along with a six-level garage. Unit sizes offer a wide variety to satisfy young professionals as well as empty nester singles and couples. Some are efficiencies, but one-bedroom and two-bedroom units are also offered in abundance. Materials are high-quality brick, concrete and stucco.
