NorthCare selected ADG to master plan a new cam-pus on 11.5 acres on General Pershing Boulevard. The first phase of the new campus includes a one-story building that houses a 16-bed crisis stabilization unit and a 24-hour crisis response center grouped with shared administrative areas and support spaces.

NorthCare’s primary goal for the new campus is to provide a one-stop solution for consumers’ behavioral health needs while providing a resource for the community, including local authorities.

The design process moved quickly; charettes were held on a bi- weekly basis to facilitate inclusive decision making, yet compress the usual design timeline for a project of this type.

The street frontage was reserved for phase two, a relocation of multiple NorthCare adult services locations gathered together on one campus.

Construction has just been completed on the 60,000-square-foot building that features an airy lobby flooded with natural daylight, stacked-stone feature walls and a landscaped courtyard.
