ADG developed a master plan on a 78-acre site for this vibrant church congregation. Construction on the campus, located near 150th and North Portland, was completed in September 1999. Phase one of the master plan included a 3,500-seat sanctuary, classrooms for adults and children of all ages, a high tech theater, a gym, sports fields and parking, all in nearly 200,000 square feet of building area.
The educational wing includes separate dedicated classroom areas for adult, teen and children’s education. Classroom space includes high tech classrooms and performance spaces in the three-story building. The fellowship atrium, which is adjacent to the sanctuary, is served by a commercial kitchen. Administrative offices are located nearby as well.
Construction of phase two, a 60,000 square-foot addition of a children’s classroom wing, was completed in 2003.
Creating a new home for this church family focused on preserving the intimacy of their previous home while encouraging growth of the Church’s mission.
ADG designed Venue—a new contemporary worship center—as well as the interior renovation of the existing administrative wing, which were both constructed in 2013. The space includes a replacement gym and weight-training area since the new worship space is located where these used to be.
ADG has also maintained a long-term planning and design relationship with the associated 1,200-student Crossings Christian School directly to the south of the church. Additions to the campus are nearing completion, including a new commons and performing arts center. The construction of a new middle school, field house, football grandstands, fieldhouse and softball complex are the newest additions completed in the last two years. Several areas of the school include storm shelters.
Crossings and Crossing Christian School have been ADG clients for nearly 20 years.
