This project is an expansion of an existing retirement community. The one-story wood frame assisted living center is designed to house 48 seniors in one- and two-bedroom units. All rooms are handicapped accessible.
The center has one walk-up entry and another protected drive-through. Both serve as front doors and welcome residents and visitors alike into the comfortable lobby and living room.
Natural light streams through large arched clerestory windows onto the cozy sitting area. A two-sided fireplace serves as a focal point in the common living area. Beyond there is a full dining area for residents as well as a private dining area for family dinners and special events.
The facility’s design and siting take maximum advantage of views out to the lake at the center of the 32-acre Copper Lake campus. A combination of brick and siding complement the design of the existing buildings on the campus.
