design of the Mustang Education Center, a 26,835-square-foot facility that the firm transformed from a home for the elderly to a place where children come to learn.
Mustang Public Schools purchased the former nursing home to create an education center - a place for gifted and talented education,
alternative education and pre-kindergarten. The four existing wings
of the building worked well to separate the grade levels. What were
once double-occupancy residential rooms became large classrooms.
A new large reception desk serves as security central and is adjacent
to the administrative offices. |
