‘Twas the night before Holidaze, when all through the office
Not a designer was stirring, not even the bosses;
The trimmings were hung ‘round the studio with care,
In hopes that the big jolly guy soon would be there;

The architects were focused all snug at their desks,
While visions of building details danced in their heads;
Engineers were heads down ‘or equations large and small,
Program managers making ready to meet at City Hall.

When out on the sidewalk there arose such a clatter,
We sprang from our desks to see what was the matter.
Away to the windows we flew like a flash,
The exploding crashes tore through the glass.

When, what to our wondering ears should we hear,
But an angry young man, and his rock-throwing gear.
He lobbed his granite weapons, so fast and so quick,
We thought we were done for and got out lickety-split.

Faster than fast balls, the rocks how they whacked,
As they whistled thru 40 windows broken and cracked.
Our staff how they ran with safety their aim,
They screamed and shouted and called out by name;

“Now, SUZAN! Now, ROBERT!, now, PORTIA and STEVEN!
On, EMMA! on, LESLIE! on, CODY and NATHAN!
Outside, out the back! To the kitchen next door!
Now dash away! Dash away! Dash away all!”

The frustrated youth was stopped by our friendly police,
He was in a squad car, booked and getting the help he needs.
Once safety returned after the brief office break-in,
The staff peeked out and returned cold and shaken.

The glass, shards and cracks were swept up with brooms,
So measurements could be taken and we could make room,
For the glass experts to hang plywood and cover the sun,
Until the special order arrives, when we’ll again have fun.

The next weekend morning when what should appear,
But a fresh work of art upon the plywood so clear,
It’s more than graffiti and made things quite right,
ADG’s building got tagged by Banksy;s elves last night.

Our Banksy is a symbol that the anger and passion,
That causes some folks to seek smashin’ and trashin’,
Can be transformed for the good through the power of art,
Traded for a world where we throw love from our hearts.

Our Banksy all in black from his head to his boots,
And his clothes all tarnished with ashes and soot;
A bouquet of bright flowers he has cocked at the ready,
Ours is a kind thug who throws love ‘round so steady.

As we all spring to the four winds for holiday travel,
Your friends at ADG wish you days with family that dazzle.
Hark what we exclaim, as you drive or fly out of sight,
HAPPY HO, HO, HO TO YOU, AND TO ALL A GOOD-NIGHT!

Hope your holidays and new year are filled with magic.
